Tavistock based Garden Designer and plantswoman with over 20 years' experience in professional horticulture offering services throughout the Dartmoor area
Garden Designer
What makes a good garden designer is being an experienced gardener and plantswoman first and foremost. Working with plants throughout the seasons and closely monitoring planting schemes as they develop over the years becomes invaluable experience to draw from when designing gardens.
A garden should be a personal sanctuary and suited to your needs and lifestyle, be that a love of entertaining, providing a haven for nature or simply somewhere peaceful to escape the everyday. I enjoy collaberating with you to create a garden that brings your ideas to life whilst also producing a practical space that connects seamlessly to your home.
Plantswoman
I love sharing my passion for plants and the versatility they can offer for even the trickiest of garden areas. I see working with plants as an artform, crafting with colour, texture, height, and structure. A garden should provide interest throughout the year and this is where good plant knowledge is most valuable. Alongside garden design I own a plant nursery which means I can source and supply the best quality plants for your beds and borders.
Garden style
Working in some of the most prestigious gardens in the country has given me a wide and varied experience of different garden styles, sites, and conditions. Prairie planting, woodland gardens, formal terraces, rose gardens, topiary, wildlife, and water gardens are just some of the styles I have worked with and designed over the years. It is important to work in harmony with the site, creating a bespoke garden that is suited to the conditions and topography.
